Hanna Wyland
Hanna Wyland began her ballet training at the Allegheny Ballet Company under the direction of Connor Weigand, Jennifer Bryan, Brandon Porter, and other distinguished instructors and choreographers, including Paul Boos, Deborah Anthony, Cheri Noble, and Timothy Fox. She has performed leading roles in the Nutcracker, Cinderella, Firebird, Swan Lake, and Rodeo.
Her training spans a wide range of dance styles, including ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, and tap. She spent her summers attending ballet intensives across the East Coast. At age 15, Hanna spent a summer training at Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago, Illinois, under the guidance of Glenn Edgerton, Meredith Dincolo, and other company artists.
Hanna began her collegiate studies on a dance scholarship at La Roche University in Pittsburgh, PA, where she performed with Maria Caruso’s Bodiography Contemporary Ballet Company. She later transferred to Penn State University to pursue a double major in Dance and Kinesiology, with a concentration in Movement Science. During her freshman and sophomore years, she danced with Connor Weigand’s Boundless Bodies Contemporary Ballet Company in State College, PA. In addition to her performance background, Hanna has experience teaching and choreographing for dance companies across Pennsylvania, including the Allegheny Ballet Company and Blair Dance Academy in Altoona, PA.
